Youjun Wu PHD
Youjun Wu got her PhD from Dartmouth College, where she studied cytoplasmic cell polarity in the C. elegans zygote using a range of quantitative microscopy methods. She later joined Marc Hammarlund’s lab at Yale University as a postdoc, where she studied mitochondria traffic in neurons and discovered that polarized localization of kinesin-1 and RIC-7 drives axonal mitochondria anterograde transport in C. elegans neurons. She has rich experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and microscopy.
Trained as a molecular cell biologist, Youjun is bringing her expertise to the Mukherjee Lab and studying the molecular mechanisms of pancreatic cancer. The final goal of her research is to find better therapeutic strategies to combat cancer.
