I study the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases mainly focusing on the interaction between Hsp70 chaperone and TDP-43 in mammalian cells. I use CRISPR engineering, mass spectrometry and biochemical techniques.

Studies polymorphism of genes with impact on immune-function (immunogenetics) in complex diseases, such as HLA, KIR and LRC genes.

Studies the host-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions between Nematostella vectensis and its microbiome.
